The Mojave Cups are inspired by the California desert. Hand built and textured to mimic the rough and colorful feel of walking on desert sand. It was spun on a wheel to smooth out the rim, but it is not perfectly round and has a nice heft to retain the warmth of your tea or coffee. This cup is a reflection of the California desert that shimmers in my mind and has now been made solid in ceramic.
Cone 5, BeeMix 5 clay, Artisan Powder Blue glaze inside. Artisan Clear glaze over washes of color oxides and stains. Heavy texture from custom made PandaBoo ball.
